The grave could not hold Our Lord!  Hallelujah! HE IS YET LIVES!!!

And, because HE LIVES, we, too, can have LIFE EVERLASTNG!!!

Our Sloan Family was abundantly blest this Resurrection Weekend!  Our RESURRECTION SERVICE with Wesley UMC and St. Mark UMC was above and beyond anything we could have imagined! A total of “89” children, youth, and adults covered Sloan’s lot as we came together for the firs time in over a year to “physically connect” for praise and worship.  The tents that were erected could not accommodate everyone in attendance.  Additional seating was provided on all sides.  The worship service included participants from each of the three congregations with special Easter presentations of speeches and dances of praise from the children and youth from Wesley and St. Mark. Pastor Lee Elder provided the Resurrection Message along with the Ritual for Holy Communion.  The three churches provided Easter eggs, candies, and other treats as the children/youth enjoyed a traditional Easter Egg Hunt at the conclusion of the worship service.  In spite of the predictions for rain, the weather was “picture perfect”!  Everyone expressed a desire to come together again and possible share a fellowship meal on the grounds.  We were also blest to have Mrs. Deborah Wilson, wife of the Late Rev. Joseph Wilson, among our visiting guest.  Again, we are thankful to ALL, especially Sloan’s men, for your efforts and preparations throughout the week to host this worship experience.  What a mighty God we serve!!!
